Well if Pjcr12 hadn't raided the corporate Underground Shipping Container/Garage/Workshop Fund I'd have somewhere to put it... :1drink

Having got a thump into the battery & eased in the mixture screw I have manged (sic) to get it started. I can only run for short duration here @ The Place because of the easily irritable tenants hereabouts. It's only fair. As an example of this, there is a regular problem with hirecabtaxicars pulling up & beeping for their fairs to come out of the building. Often they're still in their rooms, un-ready, rather than waiting in reception. To each driver this may seem a reasonable action, but when you multiply this beeping by a taxihirecabcar every 5 minutes & you can see the seemingly constant hooting can begin to grind... And so a short while back a resident with a problem with this problem remonstrated out his window with a random cabhiretaxicar driver, and not receiving the due regard he considered he deserved, he went out to the carhirecabtaxi with an iron bar. Mostly they won't pull this sort of shit on me, and are rebuffed when they do, I think it;s only reasonable for them to become irritated by a loud sound they don't like. @ 131 I was constantly irritated by the sound of gardening, which I find wholly unnecessary, and so was inclined to play a montage of lawnmower/strimmer/blower sounds early on a Sunday...

I am told in the fortress @ Carcassonne there is much work going on, as someone in one of the surrounding blocks, or the block you are in is always getting something done, indeed the block my dear friend Lusean lives in has been under attack for some ridiculous time. Now work is underway just opposite -

I was recently occasioned to reply to an email from him:

    ~ START ~

Oooh no. I can however see the opportunity for an ambient album, may I
suggest the working title of 'Grindgroan'? Take it for granted I am
listening to an FX library montage of assorted intrusive construction
sounds & traffic (reversing beeps?), but I'm having trouble finding a
source file for the inept banter/chatter of the construction workers,
and am not sure of which language to be looking in?

If it's any solace (it won't be, this might
http://www.youtube.com/watch?<wbr>v=H8hAMhLoQUc) someone is trying to get a
ground rigged turbine engine of some sort started 40 metres from my
window, and it whirs & occasionally misfires with an enormous resonant
bang. I know it's not the same experience as I sort of like that sort
of sound, but at least we're both being assaulted with audio.

Looking @ your pics & projecting on time scales for the work I imagine
they're attempting I can't help but imagine they'll be finished in
time for the electro/distorted clanking toy swords to begin. If you're
lucky one of them will shag some others girlfriend & there'll be be a
scaffold fight & murder, just give you something to watch. I'll in
turn watch out for news coverage in which you may be seen in the
background shaking your fist out of the window & swearing royally in
    the Broughton/Bedgrove vernacular?

Could they not at least arrange for the work to coincide with the
Fortress Music Season in that there amphitheatre what I can't recall
the name of? My thoughts are with you, and my ear defenders are in the
mail. I am arranging a PA around 10k to play Grindgroan outside the
bedroom of the person responsible for this work, to play it all night,
& play it loud. If this is not enough to entice you into collaboration
on the piece, then I got nothin'.

    XxxxX

    ~ END ~

I suspect tomorrow will consist of packing a tankbag of manuals & various tools & parts and try to get the thing started & over to the Shedquarters so that I can try to have a go at some of the following -

I think of all the material I've found on the web regarding carburation, the following short film of Pob spitting on a screen perhaps best illustrates exactly what happens in the inlet tract during that mysterious joining together of atomised fuel & onrushing air...

    Oh dear oh dear.
What have I got my self into.

Going to pick up a 1981 BMW r100rs in smoked red colour that has been in the back of a shed for 9 years after the owner was killed in a motorcycle accident while riding a r1 or r6.

I managed to talk his wife into selling it to me so hopefully picking it up on the 17th :evil:clap:rofl

    That will make 2 rt's a cafe'd r100rs and a real r100rs plus a pile of spares
