SXFL Rules and scoring:

1. Main event scores points only...
2. Your picks for each round must be POSTED no later than midnight PST 12:01am, Saturday/raceday.
--a. You can/should be allowed to change your picks for any reason, until say 12am midnight PST, Saturday, raceday.
3. points are scored for guessing the top five positions in the correct order, each correct guess scores points
4. There are 3 wildcards per race, holeshot, fast lap and the 7/8 coin flip(HS,FL,CF)
--a. Each wildcard scores 3 pts.
5. Rules interpretations not explicit above will be addressed as they arise(such as red flag restart of rd#3)
6. It's all about fun! let's joke about, bench race and call our inner Swammi's.

7. PLEASE don't edit your pick post after the race is over...maybe quote your post??

Red flag was on the first lap. Race start was null and void.
Race had a complete restart.
The restart holeshot is the one scored.
Red flag AFTER 3 laps by leader, the HS 3pts is scored on the original start.

The lowest scoring round will be dropped...so only your highest 15 rounds cound toward the total.

This is SX class only...unless Lites are wanted also?...so i left room for both classes in the post structure..

'call your own' points for tally..?after the weekend is over? some weeks i might score the points after the TV broadcast, some on sundays...always try to have the leaderboard updated by Sunday night, race week.

Is it fair that we can make alterations until midnight PST, to be fair to the left coasters, Friday nights? If your picks post is edited after that your tally does not count for that week.

I could use some input...but i wanted simple fun rules..but I haven't EVER screwed with this..

but there will be a firm ' 7/8 coin flip' each week....for 3 pts.

i'm afraid people won't play if it's TOO much..

but the holeshot, 7/8 coin flip, and (maybe) wildcard allow folks to score SOME points cause,
i bet it's rare someone totals...24pts for the round..

1-5 = 15 pts...hs+cf+wc = 9 pts...

so? 24?

The last 2 of you have picked Stewar to finish second which is interesting to me becuase in my mind Stewart doesn't ride well to second place finishes. It seems like it's either get out front and hide or brain yourself trying. I guess we'll see in a few hours! I can't wait! And the Niners on TV before the SX! Good day!

My thinking there is that Stewart will crash early, then work his way through the pack like he usually does, but RV is so fast right now that Bubba won't be able to catch him and end up 2nd. We'll see in a few hours!

Go 49ers! I miss Joe and Rice.

I thought stewart was tearing it UP last week, but got a terrible start while RV was up front quick, without getting slowed, trying to sort the pack.

CR seemed to pull a few bike lengths ahead of the pack going into turn 1, like the transmission and engine are dialed...
we'll see THIS week who repeats a strong showing.

Another thing about LAST week, is that it was such an odd, off angle, non-conventional track. Tons of popups, and things to nearly stop the riders..and those looooong, looping turns

This week is a pretty standard 180s, 3x 2x 2x, turn 90, whoops turn 180, track...
and Phoenix usually has tacky dry hardpack that holds up well...
