Just my Bike and I. A couple of inmates gave me some suggestions on photo hosting and I'm checking out the result. Good opportunity to have some way of readily identifying Alaska inmates as well.
Nevermind, figured it out! <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/fzGrhz4Ce1Swnyx6u21Vyw?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_gQm0bmzpbn4/S8PzD0dhuvI/AAAAAAAAABQ/frJhJ2M-Rzs/s800/26851_411240425265_570220265_5504422_6382687_n.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/102784216873180656138/KLR?feat=embedwebsite">KLR</a></td></tr></table> My new KLR and Keith at The Motorcycle Shop in Anchorage. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/qz2zepQMI32Zx7_ptdiSXQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_gQm0bmzpbn4/S8PzDgg-TyI/AAAAAAAAABM/sQvnVNAuC1U/s800/26851_411239550265_570220265_5504358_1433982_n.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/102784216873180656138/KLR?feat=embedwebsite">KLR</a></td></tr></table> After I got done taking the stickers off and putting Happy Trail bags on.
Here i am riding around somewhere between Beaver Creek YT and Haines Junction YT a couple of years ago. I've since replaced the aluminum top box with a Givi, but just about everything else is the same. More stickers on the panniers though.
I have a bad feeling from the post so far that I'm going to be the only non-BMW owner in the state...
My bike and I last fall. Since then I've changed the windshield, added a buttpad, a GPS mount, a video camera mount, a headlight guard, a fuse block, I electrified the tank bag, and put on quite a few new stickers - A little more recent, getting it ready for our SLC trip in May -
Ahhh Andrew, there are quite a few KLR owners that are snoozing this time of night. I'm sure tomorrow will be a "Golden Day!!" Stay tuned! for the rest of the story.
Here's us: Here's our ADV ride: Here's my sportbike: Here's her sportbike: Here's us out on the cruiser: Finally, here are a couple of artistic ones:
Ewww, a purty bike! Now to take it out and get it all muddy. Just to prove we don't all ride Bikes Made Weird - here are a few photos that show otherwise (and fortunately, most do not include yers truly) - The mighty Zook, in Alabama. I'm the one without the shorts - The KLR on its favorite stretch of "highway" - The Gold Wing, before I cured it of this nasty habit - Alcan Annie - the Concours that can find its way from Tok to Dawson Creek without any guidance from me -
Here's my mule in Kodiak. Action shot taken by CappyRidesAgain. Here's my ugly mug, taken by Nordkapper during our Kodiak ADVfest weekend last September. All you guys on the mainland can look for me in mid may on this big pig. I'm riding it home to Kodiak from Utah.
Naw there are quite a few of us po'folk around with our KLRs. I love mine to death! Only got the GS to haul the woman around.
Alcan Rider: Boy are you a dissappointment. All the pic's of your bikes and not a one of them has any dirt or mud on them. SHAME ON YOU.:ddog Have you stopped answering your phones?????
My name is Mark but I'm also know as AlaskaDucati because of this 2000 996 Me and my '05 Triumph Daytona 955i SE up in Hatcher Pass. Love those triples. Me, dogbrother Comet, and the '05 Ninja 250 a pretty little co-ed rode up from SoCal and gave me. And the bike I got so I could better hang with all my friends here on ADV. '07 KLR650 Ride on, Mark H.
Nope change of plans, it's on a truck headed for SLC, I didn't want to rush the trip so I cut out a lot of miles and added some in the western half.
