PS: if you're experiencing buyer's remorse with that fine little 300, you do know what to do, right?

Cool bikes indeed. 80:1 is not scary. It's more in the category of 'Horror'

My 300 calls for 60:1 but I couldn't bring myself to do that. It's been at 44:1 since day one. All original, 90+ hours, original spark plug has never been out of head. It's been lugged a bunch just dopety doping around. She starts on one kick if warm and no more than three kicks if cold even after sitting for 3 weeks. Always drain carb when put'n her up.

Some folks have said I'm wasting money on oil. Might be true but this is one time when I can honestly say "I really don't give a shit what people say".

Side's that, I could find a lot worse things to waist money on than "oil". :D

Yet, I digress once again.........Buy the bike Dude!!

That's funny. I kinda felt the same way. I usually go in at 50:1 but I don't really sweat it-- I like that I can slop it in anywhere between and still be good. Having owned two-strokes since the early '70's I have tried a lot of different combinations. I really don't like them to smoke too profusely, so I tend to go with the leanest ratio that works.

I did not rebuild my '88 KDX until 2000, when it fouled a plug riding in the woods over in Mobile with Wayne Briske!:eek1

My H-2 has seized 4-5 times, maybe more :cry, doubtful it was due to oil. I deleted the oil pump/injection system to make sure oil was completely in the fuel at all times, and I always mixed it pretty rich--won't help for high rpm lean conditions and extreme port timing--like drag racing!!:lol3

Made a guest appearance to some local kids for Halloween. Have to dig up some pix on the BatBike... local law enforcement doesn't like me to publicize my crime-fighting equipment...

speakin of - my trials bike's previous owner was mixing it at 70:1 so I kept it up as well

read the manual a couple days ago - it suggests 2% :huh

    that's 50:1 is it not?

explains why there's no smoke or fouled plugs :lol3

that minecraft costume is awesome! it looks like my computer freaked out and pixellated just his head/sword!

His '04 250EXC. He sent his 530 off to get a complete rebuild after our Michigan trip. He really likes the 2T weight but is trying to work on the power delivery. He's been working power valve settings and just installed a flywheel weight to try to tame the 2T explosion. He's getting there with it.
