To those who whine about riding on a hot day is too uncomfy, now we found relief for you crybabies!

I could not recall if any here has done a Full Moon Ride in Angeles Forest, if so we need your advice.

This coming July 18, 2008 we have the opportunity to ride under the full moon. This is a Friday night dinner :dg and ride :ricky !

    http://www.almanac.com/astronomy/moon/full/index.php

We still have to decide where to have dinner...maybe Newcomb's? We need to map out the trails too. Tell the wife that you won't be home till 2am!

We have enough fugly riders :yikes in the group to scare the hell out of us, it won't matter if more wants to join. If you plan to join us, I suggest you do our pre-run so you get a good idea what the terrain looks like in the daytime.

Now is the chance to use your Baja headlights, helmet lights, HIDs, fog lamps, maglights, LED headlamps, night visions and scopes, and reflective vest. Bring a lot of glow sticks and we'll have a light parade that can only be surpassed by the West Hollywood Halloween Gay Parade  .

No strobe lights, combustibles, flames, and spooky mask please!

Several times actually with Rider914 and a few others.

By starting out at Waterman you can be riding west the entire way back and end up around the cahon pass by sunride depending on what time you start etc. The nice part of that is at the end of the ride you are realtivly close to home for many people you can also grab grub pretty early at the summit inn on the top of the pass. Depends on what time you want to start and end your ride.

The only real problem will be lack of vision due to the dust which will be really bad this time of year.

The moon actually peaks at 1AM Friday, but since we're riding the next night, it is still almost (98%) a full moon that Friday night.

Thinking of having dinner at 7PM, then hit the trail around 8:30 PM, ride all the open trails out there, which will get us back to the pavement between 12 midnight and 1 AM. Any Cinderella can peel off anytime before midnight!

This actually makes a good training ride, which could be useful in the event you're stuck in the woods on one of your future rides. The only thing different is there won't be any FFs laughing at you!

Pasta's bike got squished. :cry He's o.k. though. He's thinking about an XR650L. :clap

Think I'll spoon on some knobbies this weekend. :D Gonna need them for Riceless rides, and trying to follow Dunerat before his dust settles. :huh

Depends if the 990 is available we are putting it in a booth for an upcoming show so have to get some work done on it. Most likely I will be there but if on the 510 then what you decide for route would be the determinig factor. that bike is NOT fun on the freeway.
