I just watched the video of my bridge crash. That's pretty funny!

I just finished the Gorges video. I haven't written it up on my blog yet, but here's the video:

It will probably be a week or two before I get it written up, but keep an eye out on www.SpiritStrike.com for it.

I'm in Greer and would love to get in on that action! Is it public?

I try not to ever ride anywhere that is either gated or posted as no trespassing. I have occasionaly found myself on the wrong side of a gate or posted area, but it was always unintentional.
I was once told that any road not posted as private is a public road by definition. A jeep trail is what is known as an unimproved road.
All of the areas in those pictures are neither gated nor posted. The DR will be getting some suspension upgrades this weekend, but if you want to ride after that let me know.

Good stuff. I wish there had been a camera on the other side of that bridge that captured how close you got to the edge.:eek1

Nice video. That was an awesome ride. As of tomorrow, Bad Creek will open for the season. Should we start planing the next ride? I'm available on Sundays as my wife is teaching a saturday class.

Any other trails you guys know that are kind of like that? Given the physical limitations of my bike I might have to pass on Brown Mountain :rofl:rofl

    Hey, how about Hurricane Creek?

watching the videos, I'd say you are not limited much by the DL.

So many folks right here in Brevard!

If anybody would take pity on me and share some good routes, I would really appreciate it. I just got a Husa 390, after years away from riding, and I'd like to maximize my off-asphalt miles.

I've already begun poking around Buncombe Co., exploring the old access routes over the gaps, but most of them are now gated and off-limits. I sure could use folks' advice.

I have an adventure blog www.SpiritStrike.com that I write all the trips up on.

Next weekend I will get the Gorges trip posted up, but in the mean time you can find some maps for where we went on other trips. That may give you some ideas on places to ride.

I went back there yesterday trying to avoid the rain. No access to the Bad Creek area from the NC Gorges. Not sure what's going on. Fun ride though

Has anyone gone back to this area since that ride? Still wondering when they will open the gate to go through between Bad Creek and NC Gorges

Anybody up for some jeep/atv trails this saturday?
Rumor on the interweb has it that most of the FS roads and oficial OHV areas are closed (not an atempt to influence voters) due to the government shut down, so it's probably best to plan on riding unoficial OHV areas.
There are a few different places I would like to check out, with verying levels of dificulty.
