Hola! (Hopefully i am not intruding in a part of the forum where i should not be?) I am from Denmark and "stuck" in Playa del carmen for a month. Wife is looking after a group of young Danes and we have brought our two kids, so no big two wheeled adventure for me, even though i feel the urge. Never been to Mexico before, and hopefully i could meet some likeminded people, I'm not that much into the normal tourist/shopping/tour cirkus.... I speak zero spanish (well,i can order two large beers ) but thats almost it. Feel free to give advice also - we are planning on renting a car, so if you know about any hidden secrets on the Yucatan peninsula, your contribution is mostly welcome. Regards, Martin
Heya Martin, we are in Playa till probably Thursday as Ellen has to get a tooth job done, meet up for a drink, chat whatever would be cool, ping us back at twomotokiwis@gmail.com We are just back from Cuba so I am doing RR's, be nice to get out for a break, we are just out of town and with our bike easy to get anywhere. Cheers Andi
Aldea thai-luxury hotel?! Oh-la-la I have offered the Kiwis some food this evening, we could most certainly try to make a gettogether one of the following days. How long are you here for, Mr. Animo? (I knew this would lead to something the second i decided to mention "beer" in the thread title )
We walked passed there today. We will be here at least until Thursday so definitely catch up. ...off to Spingse'e shortly
Sounds great, anytime next week is good. I live here full time, I'm definitely not on a time schedule
Hi If we all should meet, then i vote for tomorrow, or late this afternoon? My wednesday is fully booked (tourist stuff, on a bus... ) Cheers, Martin
Will just check our schedule ... ouwh thats right we don't have one so it looks like we are free, any time suits us guys. Martin, really enjoyed having tea with you and your family and chat about life around the world
Hola Being at the apartment with the kids the whole day has made me a little restless.... Family and i are planning on eating somewhere in town tonight but now that the rain has stopped i need to get out Maybe i should go meet Animo for a quick chat before leaving for dinner? Regards, Martin
We are cooking in for our hostess tonight but are good to go for a meet up tomorrow. Animo we did try and find toady you but couldn't, ping us directions or a G map view. Martin we snuck in just as the very heavy rain hit with thunder and lightening lighting the place up ... quite spectacular.
One lucky hostess, you two can come live at my house anytime Thought of you when the rain started pouring - these roads must get so slippery with the dust and the oil-leaking cars. Glad your timing was right. But, as papa said: "Riding in the rain is better than not riding" Martin
