About two years ago I was up there on my RT. What a cool place! With all the woods around, there must be some off road trails somewhere too! (besides Cove Creek)
We're up in my neighborhood now! Gonna be some fun rides set up for everyone! :ricky

Ever been to Buffalo Mt.( about 20 miles away from rally central).. Good off road trail.:deal It's 13 miles long, one way in and one way out. They also built a new observation tower. Short hike up to the tower.

I have six ride leaders lined up already.
    Five of them are local.
All of that info will be posted when we open the thread . . . so stay tuned.

PLEASE let us get all the rides posted on page one before you start jumping in and posting:

Oh yeah, I forgot about Buffalo.
That road was chained shut most of the time when I lived down at the foot of it.
(people kept shooting the communications equipment at the top with hunting rifles:lol3)

Perhaps ride leaders could be a PM'd prior to Silke starting the thread. Happy Father's Day.

And just how would that prevent someone from jumping in and posting

"what's for dinner" like last year:lol3?

We STILL need enough time to try to get everyone posted.

well, what's for dinner? oh wait..... that's on me :lol3

I am only starting the new thread up once we have all our ducks in a row.... and the registration will not be active the first day, this way we avoid drama on page one :norton.

Mike, Silke can do the same thing I did with my Alaska thread.

Open the thread and then make the next six posts "reserved for xxxxx" (trips, ride rules, etc.). If Silke doesn't want to have to keep your Ride notices up to date (or a rules post, or an entertainment post) and she wants others (like trip leaders) to have access to the individual posts, create a screen name for "Rick's rendezvous" and give the password to the individuals responsible for adding and updating those initial posts. I'm sure Baldy et al would go along with it and you can post the link to the thread here - after you have the first six (or however many you need) posts started.

No, we're not. But having put events on for groups up to 2,300, I know how important help is. I also know what kind of a hassle it is to have to update posts for my staff. This way, you, Kevin, Todd etc can take care of your trips etc without having to get Silke to do it for you. Believe me, the more you guys do, the easier it is for Silke and Hunter.

It' not like I ever update that info anyway.....maybe I won't even advertise a ride this time.
