Just want to give props to a great dealership and BMW customer service , after my rear shock on my GSA started leaking. One month after my warranty expired, and while taking my bike off the center stand, my rear shock lost all fluid. Bummer, I thought, that was going to cost me some money! Well, I got in touch with Santa Fe BMW's parts and service manager (Doug), and he was really great! He took care of all the paperwork, and got me a new shock/strut replaced under warranty. Thanks BMW, and many thanks to Doug, who did all the legwork to get BMW to pay for it. They get my thumbs up! I support them by purchasing stuff and servicing my bike there. Paul
That's awesome. My shock was replaced a couple weeks out of warranty and I had to pay for it. BMW wouldn't step up to the plate. Although I didn't expect them too. That's an expensive part.
That's great, glad to here it... I agree with this, with out going into detail about my tail of broken "stuff"... I want to say thank you to ride west BMW of Seattle, & Bill N.... thanks guy's...
The OP's situation where his dealer didn't just say "sorry, you're out of warranty" is true test of their customer service. A&S Powersports in Sacramento is the same way. I feel fortunate to have them so available. And, their Parts dept. can get anything you find anywhere, and they price-match everything. Maybe that's why they win BMW Customer services awards. Good to hear others having the same experience.
