    In an unusual sequence I had just moved to Portlad Oregon for work in my wifes home town in thursady. On friday I got a call at 1P.M. that my brother-in-law had been killed in an auto accident. Friday, Saturday was to have been his wedding, and Sunday Mt. St. Helens eruped. we where at Linclon memorial Cemetary picking out a grave site and had a perfect view of the eruption. it was 40,000 ft, high and the eruption was continual for months. Eastern Washington was cover with ash.
