No more repairs. No more field testing. No more packing. She's ready.

Trailering to Golden on Wednesday, riding from there to Mesa Verde on Thursday, exploring on Friday, and starting the BDR from Four Corners on Saturday.

As Colonel Hannibal would say, "I love it when a plan comes together."

Here are my plans....I'm in for a sweet "Fly-n-ride" thanks to Mr. Thumbs www.seatconcepts.com/ !! Someone please chime in if you can comment on the condition of the route or offer any information. Thanks in advance!

Thursday the 12th - Grand Junction to Ouray - looping through Telluride
Friday the 13th - Ouray to Buena Vista
Saturday the 14th - Buena Vista to Eagle
Sunday the 15th - Eagle to Steamboat
Monday the 16th - Morning ride around Steamboat and then fly out

I have the Butler map and I will use my GPS but does anyone have the approximate time for these routes?

If anyone wants to hook up and do some exploring let me know. (Hot Swedish Chicks only).

    See ya out there

I'm thinking of hitting the COBDR heading S.W. out of Steamboat after the rally on Sun or Mon. I'm riding the EXC 530 with around 110 to 120 mile fuel range. Anyone know if I should pack more fuel or are there fuel stops with in that range along the route or small detours?

After 3 glorious days of dodging thunderstorms we are now comfortably ensconced in beautiful downtown Cortez. Looks like Friday will be a down day while Brent puts his forks back together and then heading north Saturday morning.

At least there is less of a chance that we'll have to herd cats across the state of Nevada... a little less.

Looking to head up for this event but the 'reservable' campsites with the USFS are booked, of course. Anyone have info on the 1st come 1st served campsites:

    Dry Lake Campground
    Hinman Park Campground
    Meadows Campground

    or others

I'm traveling alone and looking to tent-camp; planning to arrive late on Thursday in time for registration in the morning on Friday as I just missed the cutoff. I'd like to know what my chances are at finding a campsite in one of these areas.

    -thanks

Is there nothing in the Steamboat Campground in town? Lot's of folks staying there and CJ's pre-event is there. :D

found it while doing more searching. Will call in the AM and see if there is availability. Shouldn't be too hard to find a parking spot for a bike and a bivy sack, right?

will be leaving Aspen on Thursday mid-day and plan on the COBDR for the Gypsum-Steamboat leg. I will miss CJ's events-work sucks!

-thanks for the tip on the campground. I was reading the posts trying to sort out which one was 'the' campground.

***just noticed ZG that you are local, are you going up?***

    Saturday Update:

spoke w/Kristal at the Steamboat Campground and landed tent site 117 from Thursday through Sunday AM; there was at least one more tent site available at the time I called.

Should anyone else strike out, I am solo on this journey and would be happy to share my site with one or two other folks.

    Great looking set-up!
Please post up your thoughts on those tires after the long trip!! I would have to imagine that those tires will have seen plenty of use, on most all kinds of surfaces that a Super Enduro may wander. Should be interesting to see the aftermath.

I am leaning in the same direction for my next set of rubber.

    Enjoy!!
