I've never ridden a 225 so I can't really say. This moves along quick enough to get me in trouble. From what I've read (when I came across this one for sale & did some research), the 250 is a bit different the 225/230; generally bigger, more suspension, more power, more brakes.

Thanks for the reply.

We have been to Vermont a few times and she wants to retire there. We love St. Albans.

Met this couple in the Yukon at Carmacks. We were on the way to Alaska as they were but, they were on a much longer trip.
They had shipped the bikes from England to eastern Canada , ridden across and were going to Alaska then down through the U.S. , Mexico, Central America and to the southern tip of S.America.
He was a school teacher and very meticulous with prep and maintainance of the bikes. I followed their progress on H.U. and they did complete the trip.

I've not ridden the TTR 600 but, I rented an XT 600 for a few days in Costa Rica. I like the simplicity of a carburated -air cooled motor and am one of those that would like a kicker to back up the button. Like my ATK 605.

My wife on her 2012 TTR230 for the first time. This was back in August.

She's taken it on lots of rides since then.
