Hey Dave, how have you been? I thought you sold your WR, did you have a change of heart or get a new ride?

Has anyone explored the Tazlina Lake area? I see lots of trails out there, and it looks like the terrain varies some too. I've always wanted to go check it out if anyone wants to go explore.

Brushkana Creek off the Denali Hwy has some trails off of it too. The path I explored a little got too gnarly and challenging to continue by myself. Again, I don't know how far they go but someday I'll find out.

Either one would be good for a weekend of camping and riding, a long weekend would be even better. Anybody want to set up a ride?

What about something along the lines of Equinox to Equinox Rally but based upon geographical points (McLaren Pass, the Arctic Circle sign on the Haul road, GPS coordinates of some point on your favorite single-track trail, etc.) over a shorter timeframe (one weekend, an entire week, etc.)? The farther/more difficult it is to reach a given destination, the more points it is worth; most points at the end wins (since it can't be based on speed, if we are using public roads). Proof of completion could be done the same way as the E2E, or by using a smartphone or GPS to create a KML file to log the trip...

Just an idea.
