Did they have a team of iron workers on the crew in case they need to rivet on a few more plates? The Toyota tour there is worth the time if you haven't done it.
I think those rivets will be the only thing still intact after a crash. Them there are some serious rivets!
4 is definitely a crowd on the LCF. I curse those damn Boeing engineers every time I get on that loud obnoxious beast. They could of at least put a place for our luggage on the main deck. Oh well, it pays the bills...
It's an interesting plane, I bet it would be fun to load. I always wonder how different the C-5 would have been had Boeing won the contract to build it:
I was going to go to sun n fun, til I realized the ticket prices...my god, its approaching disney prices! Disappointed.
Look what I got in the mail today off ebay.....for a DOLLAR! Will have to test it out this weekend! [/IMG]
If you volunteer at SnF you get free camping and free admission.....I do and have a great time. I don't think you get anything for OSH.
Yeah, so busy, just didnt have the time or energy (we just completed our airshow last week). Wanted to just go be a tourist for a change!
Heck, an L-2! I learned some flyin' in one of them. Nice and floaty for thermaling in the late morning before the big boomers start knocking you around. My dads was a civilianized machine with no greenhouse. NE
My pops(Rodney Engeman) builds the engine mounts, baffles, airbox, exhaust n such to put a Lyc540 in Stinsons. http://hangar9aeroworks.com/StinsonEngineOptions/108Engines.html NE
In case you don't know it all ready, your dad "ROCKS"........But, I'm sure you know that already..... It was one of his conversions that sent me in this direction. I'm personally using the Dave From Aviation parts, which reminds me, I should call him and see if the STC has been issued yet?
