Are these parts had to find?
So i found a 76 R90/6 in phoenix and i called the guy just to see what that guy had to say about it. It runs and he said that there is no problems cosmetics wise. It has a fairing and the two sadle bags and a top box as well. The only things that are wrong with it is that the speedo glass is gone but it works. The rubber seals i think he said on the front forks one is worn out. He also said that the brake light just came on but it should be just as simple as to add brake fluid. He also said the odometer is off so not sure how many miles on it. He wants 3600 or OBO i think it looks pretty good but not sure about the parts. Any thoughts?

The problems you list are no big deal, but they should be deductions from the asking price. One should be able to buy a very nice R90/6 for that asking price. You haven't put up any pictures, so its hard to say, but what you're describing sounds to me like a $2000 to $2500 bike. There's a lot of them out there, so don't feel like this has to be the one.

don't worry you can send the dash cluster to be rebuild for less than $300 the forks seals are cheap.

Sounds like a lot of $ for a bike that needs some expensive repairs, and will probably need much more.

Fork seals gone? Not something that happens in a few 10,000miles. Sign of high mileage. And the forks need a complete rebuild, no question about it.
The speedo glass can get broken. Why is it missing? If missing somebody took it off. Moisture is now inside. The brake thing is a rebuild the master cylinder at the least. Price is too high. Will need on going repairs. It might be a good bike in the end but it's a fixer upper.

So even though the fork seals are just cracked the forks will have to be rebuilt? He said that it is just affecting the front brake. Also the bike is in pheonix so will moisture in the gauges really be a probelm? I am kinda new to the actual inner workings of these bikes so this is a world of help.

Yes, rebuilt, as in all the rubber seals etc replaced. Not a big deal parts-wise, but it is a good bit of work. I've meant to do it all summer on my bike, and at this point, I've only got about another 6 weeks of riding left here in Maine, so I might as well put it off till winter. Likewise my timing chain.

The lens on the instrument cluster is an integral part. I'd try to find a good used cover.

It looks decent enough in the photo...
But the fairing has to go! And usually the wiring harness has been hacked into to accomodate it. The glass lens can be replaced as stock, but sometimes it's not a simple task. Considering these housing are NLA - it's worth repairing. I have lenses with one side etched like original and re-crimp them to the housing with the metal bands. As already mentioned, it sounds like it's got enough wrong to bring the price down a bit. Depending on how nice it looks and the mileage, this may be a good opportunity. When bikes are priced too high and no one bites, it's the perfect time to get in touch, make a realistic offer - and who knows - he may accept.

I think that's too much money. I'd offer $2500. But that's just me.
Good luck.

Ya i just called the guy and talked to him about it really. But it looked nice and i would definately take the fairing off first thing :) but like everyone has said i would not pay that much for it. I would have offered around 2500. I just know that this guy doesn't really have any idea what they are worth or what this community of people uses them for. To him these bike should only be riden on sundays like a vintage car. I couldn't break it to him that is like the opposite of what i had planned if i got it. :)
