Brutal, the look on your face says it all. I hope you guys get yourselves checked out for sleeping sickness (trypanosomiasis) after this.
Can't say much more that has not been said already. Fantastic trip, captured really well with your photos and descriptions. Cheers for sharing. Looks like a UltraLite Cot from Luxurylite.com to me. http://www.luxurylite.com/cotindex.html
I would have thought that the day you were stuck up against that embankment on the ocean front in Angola, would have been your worst riding day. Amazing Gentlemen. Quite some intestinal fortitude you have with balls of steel. What sort of risk assesment do you go through to help make sure you cover as many bases as possible with regards to moto equipment and medical supplies? (I have'nt heard much talk about spare parts or the like.) As I imagine it, it would not take long for a good day to turn into a deadly day. :eek1
I am guessing that MJ got all his "special skills" and lack of fear from spending too much time in the South African Defense force .... an operator maybe
A truly great read you have successfully made me feel like I do not do any adventure riding in a good way, Thank you for posting.
Excellent. I've been a lurker for some time now. After reading this EPIC RR I had to be a part of this society. Can't wait for more.
Wow, amazing story. Incredible riding, unbelievable scenery. Wikipedia should link directly to this RR as the definition for "ADVENTURE". Just wow, this is the stuff dreams are made of.:eek1
Big adventures. Big balls. Big pics. Big men...... these dudes. I am but a little wuss amongst these fellow South Africans. Epic stuff, guys. Thanks for the effort on the RRs.
