Thinking about heading up to Cripple Creek via Goldcamp on Saturday. Does anyone know what the conditions are after the snow? We'll be on a GS and Tenere. Will post up details if it's rideable and anyone wants to join us.

I'm in for Saturday on the GS.
Last ride up Gold Camp on the GS almost got taken out by a wantabe Rally Racer, and some guy on a KLR couldn't believe I was riding such a large bike
up the road. I was like, Huh? It's a graded dirt road, what's the problem?
I guess people have their own idea's on what is difficult.

Anyone is more than welcome to join us. I have two buddies coming down from the Denver area, so we'll be meeting up at 10:00ish. Hope that's not too late for y'all. Is there a good spot to meet up down near Old Colorado City?

The time to meet is good, let the morning heat up a bit.
Since I'm riding a BMW, I prefer the Starbucks on Colorado and 31st St.
But we generally meet @ Rudy's BBQ on Hwy 24 & 31st St.
Anywhere is good really, we will need to navigate over towards the Broadmoor to get up Old Stage and Gold Camp, but that is only 10 minutes or so before we hit the dirt. A good warmup.

Boy, I can't imagine there's not some ice in the dark sections going up Old Stage since there's still plenty around my house at the bottom. I can't tell from your post if you're talking about Rosemont below as "east" or "west".

Also if you're talking about "gold camp" as in going over the tunnel even more ditto for the north facing slopes up high.

It's much more open and generally more ice free west of Rosemont so I'm looking forward to seeing a ride report.

    Have fun and be safe.

We will be coming up Old Stage Rd, I'm sure there will be icy areas till we merge with Gold Camp. Wbunt works up off of FSR 376, so Rosemont Res would be to his east. With the bit of snow I'm sure it will be icy all the way up in the shady sections also as Wbunt eluded.
Going over the tunnel is best suited for 650 and under bikes. I doubt my GS could squeeze through the gate anyhow.

I drove over it on Sunday and the Old Stage portion had a lot of snow and ice. The Gold Camp portion had some icy areas in the shade. Of course that was several days ago.
