A friend and I are headed to Prudhoe Bay next summer for an 8 week adventure starting from Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge to Prudhoe Bay traveling through the Rockies, Canada and back. We are thinking up to 6 riders to make the adventure. We will be interviewing riders for the trip so if you are a drama queen pass!! Some camping, motels and staying with friends are in the plans. If you are interested please contact me at john@ironhorsenc.com or phone of 828-479-3864. In the meantime, Life is short and enjoy the ride!
Wheels rolling in that direction for me on the June 9th. So I'll be a little ahead of you. My work schedule and other factors limit me to six weeks and the Mrs. will fly out and spend a week or so with me doing Kenai, Denali and Valdez. I'm sure I will see you guys on the road.
I be leaving Wisconsin June 17. To dip my toes in some Arctic saltwater. Solo. My shit does stink,,,,
I am leaving Houston on June 1st hope to see you on the road. 4 1/2 week plan (stinky shit drama queen)
Six riders?? That's not an adventure, that's a rolling convention. One or two can be an adventure. Three is a crowd. Four is two pair that don't beat much of anything. Five or more is a mob. Have fun, and hope you're still talking to each other at the end of the trip.
Wow.... That stung all the way up here! Let's not forget that it was Jermo's idea to stop at the Oregon House of Mystery. :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 VORTEX!
Hey, should my feelings be hurt? I seem to recall there were four of us who rode to Deadhorse this past May, which included a pair of Geezers and a pair (+1) of KLRs. I guess I was the oddball in that group. Wait a minute... actually, we started out in Anchorage with three riders and met up with some cantankerous OLD story-telling Geezer from Glennallen ( ) in Fairbanks, turning the group into four riders. But then one rider's bike broke down in Wiseman, requiring both of them to "ride pillion (bitch)" back to Fairbanks. In the end, only two of us rode all the way to Deadhorse, but we weren't riding together at that point, and I'm SURE it wasn't because of my personality. Sometimes group composition changes along the way. For example, we had a group of three +1 "every-now-and-then rider" when we rode to Inuvik this summer and that turned out well, especially for T-Vic who had the extreme pleasure of riding with two Fun and Lively Fine Females! I'm an independent little pipsqueak so a lot of times I prefer to ride solo. BUT, it's also fun to ride with other folks, or meet up with them at the end of the day, to share laughter and camaraderie with, especially on long rides like the Dalton and Dempster. Hey TomS - have you seen the "four letter S word" coming down outside?
My wife and I plan to leave STL MO. in mid to late June, 2011, to ride to Prudhoe Bay and back. Taking about a month. We will be staying in motels not camping. If 1 or 2 others would want to join us that may be posible, let me know.
we are leaving July 4th from Vancouver, BC to do everything we can up north including Prudhoe bay and Inuvik....back August 14th.....everyone make sure you have ADV decals on your bikes so we can know if you are from here!
+1. I would recommend you and your friend start out togther. You will meet people along the way.......and have the choice of continuing on togther or going your own way.
