First effort to running a thread. Next weekend DDR is headed for Utah. Green River/Hite/Hanks/Lower Henry's/Green. Will be updating and posting along the way. Looking forward to using some dual sport mapping and the tapatalk apps. Weather looks promising, expecting another great time with the ColoSt group. Post to follow, bear with the new timer.
http://dualsportmaps.com/?link=108873 We are headed there this weekend, Friday afternoon to Green River, Saturady into Hite, Sunday back to Delta. General mapping, route yet to be determined. We have ridden some of this area before.
We had a great weekend, weather couldn't have been better. Friday GJ to Green River, old highway out and then through Sager and Flow canyon into GR. Saturday down the San Rafael Rd, Hans Flats and down switchbacks. Still snow on the switch backs. Then a great road and good views into Hite. Spent the night in a family rental trailer. Then to Blondies for breakfast and up the interior east of 24 back to GRiver. Had one Rafael river crossing but made it with a little extra effort. No major malfunctions and a good time was had by all. Good luck this coming weekend and ill give you a shout for our next ride. Not sure who is going to make next months ride but will plan and find out. Photos to follow. Cheers
San Rafael River Crossing, not bad a couple of feet of slow water, but a bunch of deep sand on the other side.. The old Sego Mine main house, the house is down sitting on the floor. The foundation is still in tact. Switchback snow road, only snow on the trip.. DDR are planning a GJ to Vernal loop the weekend of April 20 - 21. Looks like Jerry is going to make the ride this month... Options are always good for snow or mud. http://dualsportmaps.com/?link=109209
The group is headed this weekend to Vernal. Watching the weather, we suspect mud and wind. Lots of options, looking forward to the weekend. I will try posting along the way. Safe travels.. This weekend track options. http://dualsportmaps.com/?link=109429 One more from last months ride to Hite.
Baxter Pass open, but what a mess.. 10 to 12 inch ruts all the way down the North side. Don't know who would do such. What a disaster.. Good times. Great ride. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2
The group is headed south, looking forward to good weather and great riding.. http://dualsportmaps.com/?link=112410 Posts and pics to follow, Cheers
