I have a very good friend named Ray who has had three Honda Dreams stored in his barn for about fifteen years. One is mostly complete, the others are in parts. Our plan is to make two running bikes over the next few months. He will likely make his, the mostly complete one, as close to original as possible. He's letting me build a bike for me from his spares and I'll keep the Dream frame and fork, but am thinking I'll go for CB77 wheels and front fender for a slightly sportier appearance. I'll be working on a shoestring budget.... I'll post more pictures as I get them. Today I just worked on cleaning one of the engines up.
Here's sort of what I have in mind. The one I will be building has a red frame with a mangled rear fender, so it should be a good candidate to cut sort like these two: Here's a Dream frame with CB77 wheels, forks and what looks like a CB77 twin carb engine: Finally, my daugter helped me in the garage today.... I snapped this pic
Here's an update: This past weekend Ray and I moved the bikes to my garage. The goal is to get the white Dream up and running for Ray. I am going to make a bike out of his spares. In fact, Ive thought more about it and bought a titled 64 CB77 frame and Im going to see what I can put together.
