Shipping is cheaper than you think. If you aren't in a rush, you can solicit offers. I've seen sidecar rigs ship from Cali to NC for as little as $400.

Or, you can grab a trailer and take a roadtrip. That's how my wife got my Bonnie rig home from California. There are a lot of Inmates along the way that will likely help you out.

Or you could fly-and-ride. This rig should handle it easily.
