    intermot starts on wednesday next week, and i have heard a little rumour that bmw will be showing a whole new bike based on a NEW single cylinder engine . this is due to be the first bike in what bmw are calling, the G SERIES . so maybe this will be the debut of the much anticipated HP1 super enduro single ? i cant wait :D

    G series? I get it, G being the letter that follows F.

    Actually GS stands for ‘gelande/strasse’ which roughly means Trail and Street, so G is their indication for Trail Bike.

    I think the F stands for "F*ck" after you buy it from the dealer....just saying....

    Now that the fantasies have been played out on this thread http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152932 will be nice to see what actually arrives. Whatever, if BMW continue the philosophy applied to other models, i.e. lighter, more torque, more hp then it'll be a good thing :D

    Won't look like that. 650cc thumper. Around $9k, maybe under in the US.
    The name "Aprilia" could be found on the new bike if you look closely.
    Press gets to see everything on Monday, so......

    some of the major euro bike magazines already have pictures and articles ready to print, however bmw have put an embargo on any of these details being released before the official unveiling of the new bikes on wednesday the 11,th of october, the first day of the intermot show ,so you will not see anything, legitimate, before then .

    Considering the intent to build a F800 series GS {Est $11K} and the 1200GS {$15K} and that the current FGS is around $8K...

    I'm hoping for it to be in the $8K range.

    {More importantly, I'd love it to be in the 250-350lb range at most! :rofl}
