Well...I'm supposed to be going (driving down on Thursday morning), but my tickets haven't arrived yet! :eek1
I beleive this is section E. If we were to watch practice Friday afternoon as a group, about what row and seat would these be located, anyone know? Looking over the post Lot 2 will be the place for Friday night festivities!
I'll be riding in from Cincinnati, OH on a '78 BMW R100 to see my first MotoGP race 3 day pass w/ a lap on the track. Going solo but would love to meet up with fellow ADVers, still looking for a place to crash, any suggestions??
I'll be there with my sweetheart and two buddies (at least one of which is an adver). This is there fifth trip and my fourth. We ride up from SW Missouri. I'll keep an eye here and maybe meet some of you during practice.
Plan to be crossing MO on the way to Indy on Wed next week. Staying in Joplin on Tuesday evening. Look for me on this beemer. Maybe we can ride some together along the way.
We're heading up on Thursday, but if you find yourself in need of any help in the Springfield area, we're very close to there.
Is that at the very top of the stands? I always try to watch one of the practice sessions there, great seats and SHADE!! I'll def be up there fri afternoon if that's where folks want to meet up.
This image is from the lower level, but hopefully this view works for majority of the group. I will check one of the penthouses upstairs early Friday morning, and try to give a general location with specific seat numbers. Hopefully after lunch, we will find a good area to accommodate Inmates close to the beer and vendors.
That looks like E to me. Our seats are in that section as well. May stop by before or after we take our lap around the track. Hoping (but doubting) our lap this year will be as epic as last year. We slid in right under the wire as they were just about to close up, so it was just us and a few Marshalls going much faster than we had expected. Giggled like a school girl the whole time!
Sounds like you lucked out with the lap...I did it back in 2008 and it was so excruciatingly slow that I vowed never to be tempted again....and the wait to actually get on the track was ridiculous.

OK....here we are, Tuesday before the race and I STILL HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED MY $600 TICKET PACAKGE!!!! Was sent UPS and schedued for delivery today, but now not showing a delivery date and can't confirm. I've not been to this since 2008, but if this is the way it's organized, it's no surprised that this may be the last year for Motogp at Indy.
That picture looks somewhat familiar. I'll be riding this to the race from Detroit on Thursday evening.
I do believe that's the E grandstand. Frecks and I have seats in E, section 16 Row M for the Race Day.
Yep. I've read that we should see Dirt Track on Fri. night and the Flat Track on Sat. night. I think we'll go to Meridian for a bit too. Any other suggestions?
