Our little community lost a big friend. Angelo Pandelidis, inmate Brodovitch died yesterday in a traffic accident in Athens. Apart from being a staple in the yearly TeamF5 -Team ⌘R in his case-, he co-produced Tales From the Bivouac with Ted, Deadly99, was an avid rider, racer and explorer among many things. We never met, but just seeing his ride photos and his electrifying grin made me want to go out and ride with this man. My thoughts are with his family and with his friends. Godspeed, Angelo.
We never met but after all the years playing Dakar in here we feel like true friends and I believe we are. Godspeed Angelo
RIP Angelo - yes very strange, like others we never met, but it feels like the loss of a good friend - that's ADVRider for you There will be a big void this January!
Just sorry we have never met personally but only on this great forum... Angelo made lot of friends also in Italy through his participations in the various Albania and Greek Rallyes, because he was really a good guy! Godspeed Brodo
I am so sorry to hear this - he was such a supporter of everyone in the Rally community... a terrible loss to us all. J.
Putting ones feelings into words is not an easy task ... Angelo approached me when he heard I was intending to write a book and offered up his expertise in design, layout, etc. I explained the goal wasn't to make money but rather to share an experience, not many people would have understood but Angelo did. This speaks volumes to me about what kind of person he was; sharing, kind, passionate and talented. Over the next year or so we emailed back and forth several times a day. Beginning with just the book then eventually turning into a friendship. Talk of me going to Greece to ride and Angelo coming to Canada to ride with myself and meet my wife, who along with Angelo and I spent countless hours emailing, editing and changing stuff in the book. I'm positive there are many, many folks who were much closer to Angelo than I was and my heart goes out to them. His family and close friends must be hurting bad, how could they not. There is a void in my heart today that likely won't go away, RIP my friend and know that many people all over the planet will miss you dearly. I will always remember you as a talented artist, an avid rally racer, a passionate explorer, a friend too many and the king of the F5 thread. My glass is raised in your honor
Prayers to all of his family and friends. I only knew Brodo through a screen on ADV, but you feel this loss. He touched so many... RIP Brodovitch.
Truly awful news, again I never met Angelo but knew him well from the F5 and as a fellow inmate on the UK Rallymoto forum Rest in Peace Brodovitch
