I agree. Get rid of that factory pipe. Replace it with a 2 into 1. Anybody got decent pics of this ride? Post 'em here.

I think the bike looks great but on the small side for a bigger guy (I'm 6'3"). I wish the dynas came with more suspension travel.

I strongly considered one to be the basis for my next sidecar rig. In the end I decided the rear fender of the bike was not going to match the sidecar I want to use. Other than that it had everything going for it - lots of rubber on the ground, dual discs up front, fat solid feeling handlebars, cast wheels, etc.

I don't like the dual headlights though.

are the HD's I really lust after. They got something right with the Fat Bob. I can't quantify it, but I like it.

    Very good looking

    Over Priced

    1930's power

    1930's brakes

    1930's handling

If it doesn't go Chrome it.

I don't need no stinkin helmet, I got my tough guy Do Rag.

    1930's power?
    1930's brakes?
    1930's handling?

Maybe you ought to do some research before posting your biased misconceptions.

    1) Your opinion - I think it is decent looking, but not as much as some of their other models

    2) This coming from a BMW dealer :lol3

    3) There were no production motorcycles available with anywhere close to 92 Ft. Lbs of torque clear through the 1980's, let alone the 1930's

    4) 1930's bikes had triple disc Brembo brakes and floating rotors? :scratch

    5) Most bikes in the 1930's didn't even have suspension. Or is that when Showa started making the 49 mm telescopic forks the Fat Bob uses?

    :lol3

Different strokes for different folks, that's all. After a trip up Route Du Nord in northern Quebec on my '04 1150 GS I found out just how laughable (not in a good way) it is to take a 600 Lb bike off road. Sure it can be done, but there are far better vehicles for that kind of terrain. Likewise with the Fat Bob, or any H-D for that matter. It has it's purpose. Used within that intended purpose it is a delight to ride. So it isn't a BMW. Thankfully we have more than one manufacturer to choose from, and more than one model to choose from.

    Personally, i think it's slick.
    Even better in the flesh.
Man... will this marque bashing never end????
Can we settle this once and for all?
    They're all good.
    Damn... sober up guys!

a nice looking bike both in photo's and in person. I'm not wild about the rear fender but otherwise, I think they did a good job, particularly in flat black. I also like that you have the option of mid or forward controls. I don't know if it drags pegs like a Fat Boy drags floor boards (a lot) but if it doesn't, well worth a look.

I like it. Now I'm just waiting for H-D to give it the same ABS Brembos that the Touring and VRSC families get.

it's a great bike. Better power and brakes than past bikes, a 6 speed tranny, and lights like my Speed Triple :D

I like it. It has good lines. I wish the pegs were a bit more rearward. That is why I ride a beemer and not a HD -- with feet too far forward, bumps are transmitted right up through the bike into my back - ouch. The BMW keeps my feet farther rearward, allowing me to use my legs in a bump. Also the forward lean helps to ease the bumps.

But it is a good looker.

Without a doubt, my next new bike. Hips permitting, I'll get it with mid pegs.

I think with the new drivetrain, better brakes (would like to see ABS on it...), this is a damn good bike, not just for HD, but period.

It would seem that you are seeing things that are patently untrue.

Pegs can be had forward or mid. Have yet to see the mid mount option. Pics?

This is the kind of talk that drives away customers dude. I would never buy from someone (insert: "YOU") that needs to put other marques down.
And what is your take on the ease of maintenance on H/D vs the extravagent labor costs of the Beemers.
Maybe you would like to elaborate upon the widespread transmission failures of the BMWs. Shaft drive is kind of old compared to the technical benefits of H/Ds belt drive, don't you think (simplicity, less weight and so on)?
We can nit pick all day about the good and bad of any bike, but I would rather enjoy the half-full glass instead of bitching about how bad other peoples glasses look.

Some of us listened to our parents and grew up with manners. "If you have nothing good to say..."
Guess you missed that class, or maybe you just missed "class". Something went missing along the way.

This coming from a BMW M3 Owner. Among other Marques that do "what they are supposed to do" well.
    Including H/Ds

Sorry, I thought you worked for a BMW dealer.

That doesn't mean your assessment isn't grossly inaccurate nontheless.
