    Damn.

Never met him but sounds like a stellar human based on what I've read.

Please share the family's needs and I'll help if I can.

    This sucks!
I met him at WetFest a couple times, and I bought that airhead GS in the picture from him.
I did not know of his medical condition all these years, but it may explain why he was such a genuinely nice, and gentle person.
I thought of him every time I rode that bike, and the day I sold it I felt like I was also selling part of his positive energy with the bike to the benefit of the new owner.
The day he sold it to me was a wonderful event.
He wanted a particular species of VFR for some time, and having located one, he decided to sell the GS.
It was a nice sunny day,,he rode up in front of my shop, parked the bike on a diagonal, and put it up on the main stand,,poised like a BMW ad campaign!
I had already told him I wanted the bike, so no haggling req'd, we made our deal , shook hands and hugged like brothers all at about the time his Dad showed up in a cage to drive Elias and his new wad of cash to Roseburg to buy the bike he was wanting,,him happy selling bike, me happy with 'new' bike', Dad happy he gets to spend time with son as they drive south together,, everybody happy!!.
I think that was the last time I spoke with him ,, and that was 3 yrs ago or so. ,saw him in passing once after that, didn't get a chance to talk.
A nicer young man you never will meet.

,,I listened to Tool because of him!:lol3

    well, crap.

Thanks for the cross-post, I missed that one.

Did some business with Elias, and talked hacks - he was a good guy.

Really shocked to hear this. He was a young father, a structural engineer, master tinkerer, a Team Oregon instructor and a helluva nice guy... among many other things.

Maybe something should be posted in Jo Momma/CSM? Many of those down there rarely leave the dungeon.

    There's a sticky in CSM.

I'm torn as to whether anyone in JM gives a shit about anything these days.

Ain't like it used to be, hoss.
