So, a few weeks back I had a slight encounter with a tree on the 09 KLR and after doing the usual loosen triple tree bolts and work back and forth, I got things relatively straight, but still had that annoying slight handlebar tweak to one side. After checking front assembly parts pricing ($250 for a fork tube, $450 for a lower triple tree) on a whim I hit the Ebay site and stumbled upon a complete 2012 KLR front fork assembly with only 848 miles on it for $300. Sounded like a no brainer solution, so bought it, installed it and Humpty Dumpty is back together again with everything 100 % right. I am not sure what might be out of wacke on the old fork, and not wanting to get into a parts changing mode, bottom line is I have some front end parts for an 08 and later KLR should an inmate need something on the cheap. :deal

You could put this front end on your BMW and get one of those KLR - BMW stickers to make it official :clap

That's fantastic Kevin! Can't wait to see the rest of your pictures and the stories to accompany them once you get time to put it all together.

    Thanks everybody.

It was a great time and I had the perfect travel companion.

Eddie, the day we went up was clear, it had rained the day before and rained the two days after we went up.

    Rob, I wish.

Mica, damned if I know. Somebody probably had a little heater running up there somewhere, it was pretty chilly.

    Cool photo! Cool place!

On another note. I was riding up 33 into VA over the weekend and saw the craziest thing I have ever seen! Three guys going down the mountain on skateboards, yeah skateboards.
Anyone else see this? Anyone former the Burg know or hear of these guys doing this?
Great day to ride though. Stopped at the dam. There were hundreds of yellow swallow tail butterflies. It looks like they were all geekn' out on the sand up there. (minerals)

I need to find some people to ride with. That way this crazy stuff isn't just coming from me.
