few would be aware that the concept of the Lightsaber (from Starwars) is largely based on the Monofilament Sword which is long a SF & Fantasy staple weapon. Briefly, we have a strand only one-atom in thickness, stretched out taunt by some means and often with a safety button at the tip. Since its thickness is so extremely thin -- its capable of dicing steel with a simple swing from the handle. If one were to employ solely a laser (or plasma) beam - just HOW do you make it finite length and not have it go on out through walls, and atmosphere, with only some SquareRoot-of-distance attenuation?

Seems to have a ring of truth. Were not the salutations along the line of "May the force be with you"?

Leading to . . . . "this one is STRONG in the force!"

"You notice? Its bright yellow Automotive Class Lithium Ion and its a ULTRA-A, eh?"

One just unscrews the black-ribbed cap, pulls out the expended cell, and replaces it with the new ULTRA-A.

While observing the relevant safety rules.

. . . . and even making the occasional resource to the definitive manual.

But, its a BAD, BAD, BAD, mistake to use the Red ones:

. . . and that's because these ones are Chinese-made batteries for Hand Blasters! That's right, the beam-firing weapons used by people without any Jedi Training. For hand blasters, these are a good reliable Ultra-Firing power battery.

gramma and spellen do not count during a zombie attack.

AND, the range was crowded today and I could not check out my new Ruger 10/22. All the benches were full at the 50yrd section. They had one bench at the 100yrd but I didnt want to start there! Anyone know if a .22lr will kill a zombie at 100yrds? :ear

Beh, just don't tell anyone on the internet you have em.

Bone won't soften, foreheads are hard, and 22 deflects easily. Stick with 5.56
