Any West Michigan riders here?

I'm from the W. MI area. I ride a Strom. What kind of motorcycle(s) do you ride?

I just moved out here from Washington. Been out exploring a little on the Strom & got the X-Challenge of the trailer yesterday. Passed lots of bikes on the road this weekend, cruisers & a couple KLR's. I'm not working yet, so I guess I'll ride

Im not really a Michigan rider but I will be riding in Michigan June 22nd - 23rd. A friend and I will be staying at the Muskegon KOA. We dont really have an itinerary, just thought we would explore the area since I have never been that far north or seen the Great Lakes.

I'm in Pentwater (just S of Ludington) and ride mostly singletrack but some DS.

I'm a troll from SE MI, but I'll be around Houghton Lake during the July 4th Weekend. I know, that's more central than west, but it's west of where I am right now!

Any roads I should be checking out while I am up there?

i was going to head across the U.P from Sault ste marie direction, tent and explore on june 28th weekend, hopefully find some good dirt roads too. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I ride a xr650r street plated.

I decided to cancel my trip to michigan this weekend since Iowa and other places along our route is currently underwater and the rain doesnt seem to be letting up any time soon. We are heading southwest to New Mexico instead.

If Lansing is W. Michigan, then we are. We spend a lot of time on the west side of the state too.
This afternoon, we were in Traverse City, and I saw two ADV'ers at a gas station, putting on their rain gear. I gave the ADV salute, but they were too busy getting dressed to notice. I almost went back, but the four other people in the car voted me down. Next time they are staying behind, because I am bringing my bike.

We were in Hell yesterday. (Just south of Lansing for those that dont know) and I was in Traverse City a couple of weeks ago on a day run.

I saw a 1200GS and a wing this morning at a berger king near Zeeland. Both had ADV stickers and Iron Butt license plates. I was in the cage, but I stopped and said hay anyway.

I'm in GR with a 'Strom and a KLX 439 ... always looking for people to ride with.
Even people that got sent to banned camp for messing with the Muttpark thread!

I'm in Grand Rapids, 1100gs, I ride a Lot, working as a photojournalist and using the bike as primary transportation. Beat up black GS with huge tank bag and a gray rallye outfit.

There are a few other people around here that I'm getting together with to do more two tracking and DS stuff.

Arg! I was out bopping around on some access roads here in town (nice powerline/railroad access near the corner of Clyde Park and Burton) and a good spot up by Rockford. Not big, but good for technique.

How were the trails around gun lake and yankee springs? It's pretty close to me, I might have to ride down there and find out, but I'm not looking for full knobby type trails, more like anakee types.

West Mi V-strom and CRF250x rider here located in Muskegon. Paved, dirt, 2-track, single track....I ride it all but my 1st love is the tight and nasty single track.

They were terrific. Perfect for me, since I am new. There are a bunch of trails, two tracks that come right off the road. Some on maps, some not.

Might be back down that way on the 13th. PM if you are interested in going.
