Ok guys since there seems to be some interest in the oil cooler guard I made for my Bike, a 2012 GSA I thought I would post up here to offer up to the inmates here a reasonably priced alternative to the big company's. Can be mounted on the under side of the spoiler or to the radiator itself if you do not have the spoiler.
If you would like one, I can send them out with the Heavy Duty Velcro attachment for $40. shipped in the USA.
The stainless hardware install, is optional and requires removing the beak and drilling two holes in the Spoiler. Let me know if you want the stainless hardware.
If you would like a good oil cooler guard shoot me a pm. :D

I am including as part of the kit, my Headlight Bulb retainer fix, so your next bulb change will not
be filled with as much swearing. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=858290

Looks like they're available NATURAL (Picture 1) and in BLACK (Picture 3)?

    Look well crafted.

    Very competitive price!

I'm not going to offer them in black at this time. They are easy to paint so the buyer can make them
any color they choose. I made that one up to see how it would look.
The bare blends in well with all the other silver and looks like it should be there. :D

With the Heavy Duty Velcro the guard can be removed for any reason by pulling it forward. Should also make it possible to attach the guard
directly to the radiator top on the older GS's.

So with this new attachment method...is there any disassembly required for install?

No disassembly required on my 06 GS...just slipped it UP and OVER the oil cooler and pressed down.

I used Double Sided tape to secure mine...but think Doug's idea of VELCRO would be longer lasting!:clap

I will mail out the retainer hinges to the people who got the first batch of guards with out.

Am going to offer up another place to mount what ever you need to, up front in that location where
the evap canister would normally be mounted on the gas tank. Let me know if your interested.
