Somebody from the group said ‘Does he have a parachute?’ I said ‘He has faith’

You need to have faith there. I would be scared all the time if from time to time I did not remind myself that ‘If I am here then there is a purpose for me to be here’. Especially scary were those drops on one side of a road, I could not even look there.

Many of us were asking this question ‘Why did I come here?’

And finally reward – the certificate of completion of the Himalayan Odyssey 2011 #8, and a party

What a great experience! My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit Tibet back in 2006, and despite the bouts with altitude sickness along the way towards Qomolonga, we absolutely loved it. I can only imagine how tough it was on a Royal Enfield even with the support crew, but your thoughts on why you were there certainly resonate with me. While I'm not the most religious person in the world, there was a very strong feeling of spirituality as we drove along the dirt roads twisting through the Himalayas and visited the various Buddhist monasteries and met the monks within.

I'm glad you had the opportunity to see the Taj Mahal. That is truly one of the most, if not THE most, beautiful buildings in the world imho. I will always treasure the time that we had there.

Thanks for rekindling those fondest of memories!

Hey Irina, I remember you. We bumped into each other in Chandigarh at the hotel you guys were staying in. I was with the other group of enfield riders, we met on the day you departed from Chandigarh. Great photos!
