Yeah, the thought of a KTM crosses my mind about once a day (hour). I loved my KLR, and it makes a lot more sense for me than the Katoom, but I have to say that I really, really like a lot of things about the KTM...

I def. think it is my next bike. I love the idea you can anywhere with one of them. I def. don't need a 950 that is way to big and unecessary for me. I just wish the 2006's were not 8900!! Pricey little suckers and finding a used one is damn near impossible!

Getting a new one is not the problem, but finding a used one def. is! I will keep my eyes open. I def. will need to save up for a bit before any new bikes come into my garage. I have three already so I will most likely have to unload one.

I wouldn't pay MSRP. First demand ain't truly there; this site is not a good gauge of what's hot and what's not. I bought my 03 brand new in 04, for $7100. Not to say that FOR SURE some 06s will still be around in 07, but if the 200 bikes in 03 didn't all sell until 04, then it's a fair assumption to conclude that the 200 06s are similarly sought by real buyers.

I hope you are right but the two dealer I spoke to were not budging and inch on the price. Some people already had deposits down and they recommneded the same. Last year both local dealers were sold out before the were even shipped. I love KTM and have owned two LC4's in the past but the recent price increase is insane! A 625 SMC Motard is 8598! That is nuts! They were 7200 two years ago.

PS Are there many diff. between lets say an 03 and 06? I have to do some research here to find out.
