Moto Guzzi Stelvio (merged) threadfest...

Has anyone seen the spy shots of the new Guzzi dual-sport or any other info?

"From the Italian Alps we have heard that a new Moto Guzzi has emerged. According to one of our sources it has been named after Italy's highest mountain pass, the Stelvio. It is believed the bike will be called Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 with the same engine as the new tourer Norge 1200. As the name suggests Moto Guzzi is going after the profitable Adventure bike segment to compete against BMW R1200 GS, KTM Adventure 990 and Buell XB12X Ulysses"

A new Guzzi in the mix would be great!

Having ridden Moto Guzzi for years, I would be surprised if they would be able to compete with KTM 950 or even R1200GS. Those bikes are HEAVY!!

Maybe you didn't notice - the road is paved. I don't call that a good sign for an adventure bike. I could take a scooter up that road.

Why are bike manufactures obsessed with building pig ugly,overweight,over comlplicated and expensive bikes for the adv market, especially when BMW has that covered with their range of poser bikes. I'd like to see more lightweight 650 to 800cc bikes, singles and twins Light,cheap,basic,easy to modify and with decent fuel economy/tank range.
