nearly a hundred pounds less than my majesty, and north of 75mpg. both sound good.

doesn't look like it has much storage capacity.

Looks like the GTI 300 has some competition. Motorcycles may be ignoring the 3-500cc range, but scooter manufactures are bringing it, and I could not be more pleased. Great MPG and interstate capable.

My intel from the Modern Vespa is that this bad girl (Beverly, after all) wont be coming stateside anytime soon.

Sad and glad. Sad that Piaggio USA still has shloads of unsold scooters from 09 and 10 that they want to retail first, and glad since it give me time to start saving up some Lira to get one someday (year).

    Yeah, thats a nice scooter.....

I seriously considered getting a BV250 but got a Sport City 250 instead due to it's fantastic price. If the the 350 makes it here I'll seriously consider trading in my SC.

At least I've done my part in reducing the old inventory so they can bring in the new stuff sooner:D

I'm watching closely how this plays out. It sure sounds like it'll hit a sweet spot in the US scooter scene since Honda won't bring the 300SHI over. I hope they bring the BV to us and that it does well. It sure is pretty.

Yeah, we're having the same problem. Piaggio Australia refuses to bring the Beverly line into the country and they show no signs of changing their mind. Our dealers in general seem to believe 300cc class doesn't sell here to which I answer, "well of course it doesn't sell if you don't bring them in!". Very frustrating... at least we get Kymco Downtown (but not their other 300cc model, I forget its name)

Hmmm... I'm not on Modern Vespa that much anymore... but my intel from Piaggio Corporate is that we might be seeing these 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2012.

My only complaint is that it looks like they have taken away the possibility of retro-fitting the older Piaggio sidecases.

Do you work for Piaggio? Or perhaps one of their dealerships?
    At the Ponderosa, I mean....

Make sure you get your wallet ready, the 350 here is expected to be
priced very closely to the 500 Cruiser.

Or in other words, the 2010 leftover SC250's are about HALF the expected
price of the BV350, or about 15% more then the People 300GTi (which
comes with the topbox and the BV doesn't).

Just a few (4-5) years ago, you could have bought the BV500 for that
    kind of money..

It's been a year since the BV300 with the new design came out, they probably
have new equipment already available for it, and I'm sure whatever fits the
    300 will fit the 350.

the 2011 BVs could not take the side cases either - they changed the frame when the bike got its restyling.

I have not checked but are those still 16" wheels?

No, the rear is 14", like the Scarabeo 300.
Still rides better then the old one IMHO, and has more underseat storage.

Just got Piaggio's EICMA preview email, here is the official word on on the BV350:

The Beverly Sport Touring will come to the U.S. as the BV350 in the spring of 2012. The BV range was introduced in 2001 and has been one of the top selling high-wheel scooters on the market.
The most notable feature of the new BV350 is an all new 350cc engine which has the power of a 400 and the compact size, weight, emissions and fuel consumption of a 300.
While the U.S. models will not have ASR or the ABS system, Piaggio USA is confident this model will succeed as it has already been garnering great reviews in the international press. Colors, pricing and final specifications will be announced closer to the U.S. introduction.
