I'll be heading to San Diego in early April to meetup with a couple of buddies for a 10 day baja ride.

Where/what should I rent? I'm looking for something in either SD or northern baja, and something in the 250-450cc range.

What's my cheapest option, in SD or Mexico?

Thanks in advance for all of your seasoned advice.

No one has a good bike rental place in mind in SD or maybe Tecate or Ensenada??

    I'm looking for a 250-450cc dirtbike.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the links.

We're planning our own supported ride. We'll have a group of 3-5 riders, and vehicle support from camp to camp.

I'm looking for a company that rents dirtbikes, I don't need a guide service.

Thanks again, keep the suggestions coming.

Baja Bound will sometimes just rent their bikes out - you don't necessarily have to be part of a tour. They have had some bad experiences with people just renting however, so I'm not sure they haven't changed their policies. But its probably worth checking with Jennifer at Baja Bound to see.

Heck, just buy a bike from a dealer in SD then sell it when you get back. For 10 days rental your gonna be into it for enough to at least break even. Just my .02 which is worth .01. :-$

This is a very good idea... way to think outside the box. I'm thinking CL may be a better chance to make my money back. How much do dealer fees and taxes typically run?

    Again, Thanks!

Excellent advice, a buddy of mine will be picking up my new bike from a guy off CL this weekend.

you could try here. They have dirt bike rentals according to the website. No relation, I just happened to drive by their place a few days ago.
