Looking to do some rides this week if anyone is interested (or wants to make a suggestions). I am thinking of taking a look at the Elwood Pass I saw mentioned on another thread -- although anything with "Pass" in the name comes with threat of snow I assume. Here's something about Piedra Road: "...Piedra Road (marked as 600 on the Pagosa map). Look for 629 road and the surrounding single-track (short sections). Trail 582 is a bit of a haul to get to, but is a good ride and appears to link around further West of town to Hwy 160. Its beautiful up there." So thinkin about that. These links were offered in the same post: http://www.pagosa.com/adventure/summ...ex.php#offroad http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/sanjuan/recr...pagosa-map.pdf http://staythetrail.org/mvum/2009-08..._mvum_west.pdf http://staythetrail.org/mvum/2009-08..._mvum_east.pdf This sounds interesting for a big-bike long loop: "I've ridden the forest road that starts north of SF and heads over to Summitville Gold Mine. I've also ridden to Platoro. Nice FSR type ride. From there you can drop down to the Conejos River. Just be warned that there might be gas along the route. After that Creed offers some really cool Tourist stuff. Also the Bachelor Loop might not be bad. I've heard that the hardest part is leaving Creed up past the mines." And finally BigStick's site (Woohoo): http://www.bigstick.ws/ Ready to pretty much any day. Let's go on a ride!
