Wharton ride Saturday / Sunday?

EDIT: Planning for this SUNDAY dec 9th. meet at Carranza @ 7 am

Is Rifle / shotgun hunting season still open around Caranza? Meet at memorial or the 70 / 72 spot?

If not anyone up for a dirt ride Sat morning early?

I would be riding from say 7 or 8 to noon

If rifle / shotgun hunting is open Sat howabout sunday?

Suposed to be near 60, slight chance of showers.......

Shotgun season runs through this Saturday. You might want to wait till Sunday to ride in Wharton, Lebanon, etc.

Anyone for Sunday? Bueller??

I was out there on Tuesday from 10AM-4PM; LOTS of hunters, probably saw about 50 out in Lebanon and further down in Greenwood. Not sure if they appreciated me riding around - got some "dirty" looks. Anyway - I would not ride on any day except Sunday during the hunting season.

I'm for a ride on Sunday - the trails/woods are in great condition

Great Gerry, what time were you thinking for a start? I could be at Carranza by 7am.

It's my understanding that Saturday is the last day of the fall deer season.

Don't have any routes, just planned on winging it, maybe try to find my way to the fire tower. I have a gps, and a smart phone.

I will be riding a 450, but wouldn't call myself fast. I plan on heading home before noon.

If anyone feels like posting some good waypoints to find, leaving from Carranza it would be appreciated!

I could probably ride with you guys on Sunday. I could get there around 8:00. I am not familiar with Carranza.

How about the wawa at 4 mile circle, junction 72/70?

Make sure all of your stuff is 100% legal. With hunting season, there are a lot more rangers and game wardens out in the forests. And they will confiscate your bike if its not up to par.

BB is in my backyard, and daily lately, I have seen those nice new shiny white pickups, with green stripes going in and out of all the access roads. Even on Sundays..trying to catch the illegal hunters in the act.

I have parked in the dirt area off pitman rd / mt misery rd / off 70 before. (north east of 4 mile circle)

anyone had problems parking at wawa? i'm coming from philly with the bike in the truck.

I am 100% legal. I load my bike in a truck too. I don't think we could leave the trucks at wawa. I just thought it would be a good point to hook up and then go find a place to park. I am not that familiar with the area to suggest somewhere to park.

Normal place is across the road from the campsite at Lebanon State Forest
It's at the end of Cooper's Road - follow the signs for Pakim Lake. There
is an open areas where we usually unload and leave the cars/trucks. There
are toilets there and I think a water spigot. Please ride slowly in that area - we share the spot with horses/hikers/hunters. See you there at 8am -
