Registration is open for MLR #11, Moonshine Store, Martinsville, IL. Always a good time, the wait in the near mile long line for a 'burger is worth the wait.

This is a non-profit event, benefits local charities in and around Martinsville/Casey. Otherwise, just an excuse to ride thru corn country for a good 'burger.

Moonshine Store was awarded Wabash Valley best cheeseburger award, and is listed as one of the Top 10 Best 'burgers in Illinois. Read about it and register here:

Just registered today. I did the event last year and it was a great time.

I think there are some easy ADV-type roads around there, but not sure. Hopefully someone who knows the area can post up info about that.

This was a very fun time last year. I got one of the proper burgers made in the store, rather than a rip off copy from outside. :D

    Also, there was Amish PIE!

Hope I can go again this year.

From my experience, the gravel roads are flat and straight. As easy(and as boring) as they come. Still fun to go down there and being spring we are usually more than ready to get on 2 wheels.

There are some river and creek bottoms with field roads connecting. Threre is a "dirt" event on Saturday morning, starting from the Day's Inn in Casey, ending at Mooshine Store. Only 30 miles or so and not all that exciting but as close as you'll come around there. I took my DRZ last year and enjoyed it but won't repeat this year.

ST1100 get the duty from Kingman. This will be the start to a couple months exploring all over. We (ST-Owners.com) have a memorial event in Port St. Joe, FL on May 1, and several more events to attend before I get home again.

Anyone who hasn't been to Moonshine at least once needs to do this. I've been to all but the first couple in addition to multiple "side trips" any time I'm in the area.

Don't fill up on popcorn, you don't want to miss out on Amish PIE! or Moonburgers.

Man - I'm looking forward to getting a repeat picture. Happy to say my 'stich actually expanded over the winter period this year.
