Earlier today- about 12 miles outside of Idaho Falls. He was on his bike and traffic was stuck due to construction so he did a U turn and he was hit. His leg got smashed between his engine tank and a Chevy Silverado. Only spoke to him briefly, morphine was kicking in and I wasn't able to get all the details other than he was going into surgery and his Tibia and Fibula where very broken. For those of you who don't know Guy, he is an avid sportsman who loves to cave, hike and ski in addition to his great passion for riding. He makes his living being on his feet all day. My thoughts and prayers that he will have a full r
Bummer. Hope he's back on his feet soon. This may help him get moving around sooner than with crutches. iwalkfree A fellow dirtbiker from Ontario, Canada came up with the idea of this device. I know a few people who have used one. Good luck, heal fast.
Ouch!! Sorry to hear about the broken bones. Wishing you a successful surgery and complete (and quick!) recovery, ROM.
Warmest wishes for a speedy and successful recovery from the upper left corner. Do ALL the physical therapy you can get your hands on!
Son of a bitch, ROM. You are in my and GiddyUp's thoughts. I did a tibia gig 2 years ago - I'm feeling for you. Good thoughts and a strong recovery.
Heal fast. When I broke my arm, a homeopathic physician friend of mine recommended a homeopathic remedy. Its not a drug, and she reported healing of bone many times faster. I was going to try it, its not like I had anything to lose. When I went back for x rays 4 weeks after my surgery, my doc was very surprised by how fast I healed. I broke my arm on March 12th 2008, had surgery March 19 with a plate and 13 screws in a badly shattered distal humerus, went back to work (I am a chiropractor), April 2nd. I went back to work before the doc gave me clearance, I haven't lost a screw yet. >>Symphytum: This remedy is best known for helping broken bones rejoin and heal. It should be taken after a bone is set to ensure proper joining of the bone. (A common recommendation is to take it several times in the first few days, then once a week while the bone is healing.) It is also useful in many cases when pain persists in old, healed fractures.<<
