For Road Kings only....standard, classics or customs, Heres mine with and without bags... more intel to come later this is my '04,bought new JAN 2004 in Cali. rode it home...two weeks later and a oil change, then put on bub rhineharts, arlen ness big sucker intake,bc gerolamy overflow airfilter.power commander 3 usb, then a little bling- wild 1 rk2 bars, chrome grips, solo saddle...... did all the work, very easy. saved on stealership install. plus there is no SCREAMING CHICKEN parts on this hawg. this pic is in 2009,shot in Chandler,AZ.
With Bags, shortly after turn signal bar removal, added paneca led tail light, shot at lake rosevelt,AZ in 2007
I have a company van, work 50+ hours a week so don't get to ride as much... but since 2004 this bike has been very reliable, problem free and now 35000 miles on the clock. not the best motorcycle in the world. but harley davidson is the most iconic motorcycle in the world.
You seem thrilled that there's no SE parts on your hog as is the other imported parts are any better? From personal experiance you might wanna try some SE stuff as the quality its far better that...umm well... the other imported trinkets. No reason to have the dealer install anything unless your completely hopeless with tools.
Rogue Pipe Works USA http://www.rpwusa.net/index.php/bikes/harley-exhaust/90-baggers-2-into-1 Forgot to mention it's for sale. I want a Road glide in my old age.
SE/ HD makes a good product- but there air filter takes in 450 less cfm than my CALIFORNIA MADE over flow air filter-----you know what they say more air/fuel=adrenilane . BUB rhinharts Imported, nope the power commander might be--- but HD race tuner, is a sort of Copy anyways..... HD SE/CVO makes a great complete MOTORCYCLE. not thrilled about non SE parts. but HD does not need the whole pie, there are those who have the stealership install/repair eveythinghopeless for them, and just go ahead and light a couple $$ on fire. they most likely wear all the T-shirts anyways.
The "ROAD GLIDE" is Must have model. I would like one soon.....or a GSA and just keep the Roady. nice lookin Roady OLDHIPPE. is that front end 4" over on the rake.....just guessing
Nice roady eric... wish i had newwer roady or a road glide due to the new frame,6speed and abs.... but just means i have to keep in the throttle more Btw, i lived in Payson for 3 years and killed hwy87 very nicely.... passing every bike up and down it bmw LT's and sport bikes... got some speeding tickets as well.....then i moved to Chandler... slowed down in the valley.... now back in Cali......splitting LANES
I don't live to far from Payson and ride that way often, this was last week on the Oatman Highway Route 66 not killing anything just enjoying the ride. ABS is nice so is cruise control would have never said that three years ago but I'm sold now. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6gTZ5vcOlkk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A week ago I took a putt out to MiddleGate Nv. for a burger and a beer 278 miles, one stop for gas, and home in 5&1/2 hours. I love my 07 RKCustom.
Keep this thread going - I've had a hardon for a black FLHR since I had a manager in high school who would run between locations on his. No screen, big hard cases, decent chassis. They've always looked like the dictionary definition of motorcycle to me. What else is hiding out there?
