It's unexpected that one of the best looking bikes currently (or soon to be) in production is a Royal Enfield!
The company just revealed what is said to be the production model Cafe Racer, coming out in late summer:

9 extra horsepower (compared to their other models) will bring it very close to the power of the new Ninja 300 (36hp vs 39hp), although the power delivery will surely be very different. And the weight will be roughly the same as well. Unfortunately, the price won't: $7,295.

I can only hope the hipsters will stop carving up every decent CB they come across.

I think this looks cool. I have to wonder though, will they arrive just in time for the cafe craze to be over?

In this case it was over in 1989, because that's when Honda released their GB500.

Unfortunately, the bland Honda isn't even on the same page as a charismatic Enfield :deal

In the Enfield? It's a slightly hopped-up version of the usual 500cc. This one is a 535cc, with a different throttle body and pipe.
