Finally got round to fitting the Zumo. This has got to be the easiest bike I have fitted it to.

Took the time to update the splash screen image too :D

    thanks DC

The bike came with the OEM mount so I used that. Feels a bit flimsy though so double tightened everything!

Wont have time to test it this week unfortunately.

Sorry if this is subject has been covered, there's a lot of posts...
I just went to my dealer to have the Bosch MSC installed. They say it has been pulled off KTM's servers because the software presented issues with the speedometer readout in some way. New software should be available in April. I'm definitely waiting until it's right before I have my bike messed with an pay for it too!

My 2013 1190 also needed several updates, both software and hardware. They mentioned the sidestand (I already had a new spring for that) and something about the centerstand. Not quite sure what else but I'm having everything done at the same time.

Can give full details somewhere in April in case anyone is interested.

The side stand is changed to a new one with a different spring mounting.
For the center stand, it's the screws and washers that are changed.
There are also "rings" of the rear shock to change, a part of the fuel filler cap and the oil filler hose.
2014 Mapping is also loaded on the 2013 models.
In France, it's all for now

i think it's restricted by the tank seat fixations if you don't also change it.

I'm contemplating to install this as well, but it's plastic and I'm really concern about its rigidity, especially riding off-road with lots of vibration. Hope to hear your experience soon.

I forgot washers steering damper to change, thermal protection under the seat and change the key contact for longer (only for owners suitcases touring).

Well Ive tried it on all types of road surface down to light gravel. I think vibration is the wrong word to the effect on the holder. It tends to "bounce" rather than "vibrate"

It doesn't have much effect on the view, well not as bad as if the thing was vibrating.

Not sure what the effect would be on more extreme stuff.

I just had my first service done (1000 km).
When I got the bike back, the display was acting strange: it told me my average speed was 3266 km/h and average consumption was 0.2 l/100km.
Anyway, resetting both trip computers got rid of that glitch. However, before, when I put the bike for example in sport mapping, it would remember this setting. Now, every time I start the bike, it defaults back to street mapping. Is it supposed to do that? Or is there a way of making it remember my settings again? It does remember for example the settings for the heated grips...

i've put the bad fuel dongle on in the hope he would remember my settings. It works, most of the time. But from time to time it does change after restart...

My speedo has been way out (doing 80mph speedo says 102mph) since the MSC retrofit.

My local dealer says that KTM are close to releasing an update for this. Anyone else heard anything or had their speedo "fixed" since the MSC fit?

I'm on the market for a touring screen. I get an hard time when traveling on highway speeds.
    Any recommendations please?
    Thanks!
