Sorry I haven't been following all the 690 threads, but why exactly do I need these bolts for my 690? What is the problem you're trying to solve?

When your lower tank bushings get loose, the Stock Upper Tank Bolts will BREAK.
The fuel tank which is the subframe, & all of the weight on the seat is
depending on these 2 lower bushings & these 2 upper bolts the hold it
in place.
An agressive / heavier rider puts alot of stress on these 4 points.
The updated lower tank bushings from KTM is NOT a Permanent Fix
I made my own ALUMINUM Lower Bushings.
Im glad we now have a stronger grade upper tank bolt.

Dog - So you're saying if you just keep the original bolts there is no need for this $65 set? It looks like this is a nice product. I love having a trick part here or there, even if only because its trick.

No, Not at all. Im saying the stock bolt WILL eventually break due to
a weak upper bolt & the lower bushings getting way too much looseness in them.

Just because a couple extremely overloaded bikes, with unmaintained hardware, that doesn't constitute proof.

That said, I still love the product. It looks great.
