1190 Adventure slow leak on rear tire

Started up the bike yesterday and the magic low tire pressure alarm was in.
Down to 10lbs from day before.
Topped it up and went for a ride.
When in motion tire held pressure....every stop tho it would lose a couple of psi.
Ive checked for punctures,snooped around and can find nothing.
I've never had tubeless tire....researching a bit it seems KTM has had a bit of an issue with the spoke sealing band.
Wondering just how common this has been...

I had this on mine from day one, both wheels.

Could be leaking through the spokes? Friend of mines tyre (conti) had a punture and he had to fit a gator from the inside (looks like a mushroom) as the normal tyre repair kept leaking because of high speed riding.

2 in one day in the section where it is usually fairly reasonable!

Hey Mad - I had the same issue on my front tire - first noticed on the way home from the dealership. I kept adding air until the first service, where spokes were checked and adjusted; no issue since. Good luck with the fix!

As I'm working next 6 days I dropped it off at dealer.
It'll get looked at Monday.
KTM can foot the bill...

Ignoring the mudslinging.....The only way to diagnose tubeless tire leak problems is to remove the wheel and submerge it in a tank of water--a large cooler works getting a portion of the rim and you can rotate to catch it all. Check valve core/stem, bead, spokes and punctures. That is all there is to it.

Lots of these "problems" are valve core issues. Always "spit check" the core before proceeding.

Dont know much about this issue and dont like the problem as i own a 990.But can a tube be installed on the 1190 wheels.In this months Cycle world Travel and Adventure they dent the front rim and have this issue. Nothing a crescent wrench and little silicone wouldnt seal is there reply.wow,i have dented the rim so hard on my 990 that i could see the tube.Would be scared riding one of these in some out there hairy places

Chances are were are all going to have issues with the stupid "bladder" they use to seal the spoke wheels. My dealer specifically has told me they have had problems with this set up and not to slime the things as that eats the TPS sensor.

I would rather have cast ism anyway I don't plan of taking mine off road. I am trying to source some that will fit.

I rest my case

I've been switching tires fairly regularly between knobbies and the stock tires. I never had a leak with the stock tires, but as soon as I went to knobbies, I started losing pressure. The key is to keep the tire pressure above 35psi. The way the inner spoke seal works, is it needs that much pressure to keep the seal in place, otherwise, it can lose pressure pretty fast. Once I learned this little trick I haven't had any more pressure issues.

A much easier solution would be to install tubes. Thats the great thing about the KTM setup, got a leak? install tubes.

Cast wheels suck on off road bikes.
