I'll do this when I get home. I've not had any problems with the bowl being full before. I'm not sure of the exact amount that comes out. Assuming a shot glass is 1.5 oz maybe 3-4 oz normally? I'll try it tonight. I'll just fill up a few shot glasses that I found at my old camp when we sold it.

I plan on swapping the petcock eventually, but the one I have isn't leaking so I assumed it was fine for now.

I had some gas in my airbox before I swapped the o ring. Does this mean it made it into my crankcase? There was just a little bit, probably about as much as you would find in the fuel line after disconnecting it.

Does this petcock have a strainer on both pickups?
the sellers picture showed none on the main outlet.

a lil bit of gas in there is fine/normal

look for the right angle rubber hose that connects from the front mid-lower portion of the airbox downwards into the crankcase. as long as the gas in the airbox stays below the hose level you are fine. also check your oil level often, esp with that leaky oring. a good way to check that gas didn't mix with the oil is to give her a good sniff

yes, both pickups had strainers when I received mine. the main pickup had a strainer "cap" made of a white nylon that press fit on top of the copper tube (which you are correct isn't shown in the pictures). it was roughly the same length of the reserve strainer. and the reserve strainer is just like how it's pictured on ebay (the white pickup is the strainer - you just can't see the fine screen in their pics)

...just looked a lil closer and it even says in the sellers description:
    - Primary copper gas pipe with filter screen
    - Reserve gas pipe with filter screen

Completely plug n play...took me longer to drain the gas out the tank then to install it.

Sorry you're having such a rough a time with your bike. If your oil smells like gas then you better change it. Connect a clear hose to your bowl drain and point it up. Has to be taller than the float level. Tape in place or rubber band or zip tie. open the the drain on the float bowl . start the bike and you will be able to see the fuel level in the carb while its running.

My dr350 needs a running mate/loaner bike! Looking at an 05' yellow one stock. Less than 1000 miles. What's a fair price? Thanks

339 miles (corrected) on 3.1 gallons of gas = 109mpg! If empty really is 3.4 gallons, I still had 30 miles to go! Love it!

So most of the time at 40mph, but plenty of starts and stops, a little bit of wot, and little bit at 60mph.

Best I've every done is around 65 mpg. I think 75 mpg is average.

LPG bike is squirrelly. I bet it'll do 100mph when the forced propane induction kicks in.

Thanks Klay & Bross. Our dealer here is a bit sketch, but I'm game for trying Amazon.

Klay ~ How many miles on the DR?

My at 35+ k is finally kicking the bucket, hence the need for the manual, prolly looking at a full rebuild, but have yet to tear into it.

15,236 miles. The wife's is at close to 18,000. Not sure of the exact mileage because she's out on it somewhere. They're nowhere near used up. With some new clutch plates, they would be indistinguishable from new.

:clap Nice! I've only had to replace the clutch in mine, which was around 32k just before I went out on West on it.

This was the first bike I ever bought, and I had to trailer it home brand new b/c I had no idea how to ride :lol3
