Richie know's his engines and has had long rods, pistons and valves made to his own design. On the dyno it made 76 hp at the rear wheel and 66ft/lb at 5000 59ft/lb at 3000 - 980cc and on single plugs
Real men have straight shafts 100mm longer than most I take it you are in favour of one which although may have more girth has a floppy end that requires additional rods to support it
I'm not sure but my own bike (pictured) with the same size tank when full comes in at 210 Kg's I know Richie's next bike #10 will be a light weight special (due around March I believe)
Mine (above) looks heavy on the front end beacuse it has all the rally gear, the engine in mine is complety diffrent which was built for low done torque which suits muddy English trails. It did perfom well in the Alto Turia last May where it came 23rd and 2nd in class behind a KTM 690 - Lots of traction which you seem to be able to feed in beat by beat. The workmanship on Richie's is in another league
Sweet! Mikuni Carbs or Del Orto? Do you know if it has an electronic ignition? I would like to get those plug wire end caps but I understand they are only 1k ohms. I supposedly need 5k for my Boyer.
don't know about the ignition... picture of carbs a little fussy, I was sweating being so near the bike
