    Not today.
Very high altitude, yesterdys -2ºC, even snowing at the "Paso de Jama", highest temperature for today there 14 degrees celsius.
Today is COLD, not HOT. In lower parts (high anyway), would be warmer but not hot.

Not so sure, at least Cyril is consistently losing time at a steady rhythm of 3 minutes per waypoint to Kurt (less to Chaleco), not just one chunk of time at a specific section of the course ... ?

It appears rookie f5 contender ric678 had a complete internet failure at 09:09 EST, He appears to have his technical issues worked out now and is continuing forward.

Pain at wp3, doing his campaign the very best he can manage, now over 10 minutes ahead of CdP in the overall.

I was really hoping this would turn out to be unsubstantiated rumor frenzy. Perhaps the organization will put something out soon, but they are probably bound to notify Thomas' family first if this is indeed the case.

Given the current into, Ride in Peace, Thomas. :cry

This Dakar has been really amazing with the surprising number of upset stage wins. Today again the field at the front is VERY different. Im loving it! :clap
