the bottle opener tool closed end works on the oil drain bolt on both my 690 Duke and 250sx and 250sxf, it fits the drain bolt good its just not long enough to really put force on it to take bolts off sometimes. i have used mine several times.

Shouldn't that be at a 90 degree angle to get an accurate reading?

What's wrong with it just being a bottle opener? In fact to be honest, it doesn't do that quite right either. It's not got a good hard edge so you're not really missing out. I always wear rings (have one with a bottle opener shape which works brilliantly, but any ring will do when you get the hang of it) for among other things that purpose so I don't really need mine. If it wasn't such a hassle you could pick up mine :rofl
