I'm not familiar with atg's setup, but I know I will no longer ride with earphones that are hardwired to a device that is mounted to my motorcycle. I had the unfortunate opportunity to crash while tethered to my GPS via headphones and let me tell you having earphones ripped out of your ears under a full face helmet sucks pretty bad among the other things that hurt, I didn't need to have my ears hurting too. It also destroyed the audio port on my GPS too.

After that, I used the BT type receiver I mentioned above and in my case my GPS didn't even have BT so I had to use a BT transmitter too, but it was so much nicer not being tethered to the GPS. I could easily get off the bike and walk away too without worrying about forgetting I was tied up.
