Ours came with a set but the left one decided to do its own thing and came off as it was only RTVed on....needless to say it is lost and a goner. Three questions I guess, 1, anyone have a lefty from the opposite problem to mine you wonna part with ? 2, if no-one has one anyone wonna righty if I can't find another lefty? 3, supposing I get another one what is a secure fixing method to the safari tank?
HI Mate. Sorry to hear that. Its sounds like you bought your bike with the guards already attached. Even though this is the case, I feel responsible. We did not specify the Permatex gasoline resistant adhesive to use, as such I can replace the left guard for you at no charge. just pay shipping. We make these in runs based on orders. its on the schedule to make some more in the near future. Just send me a pm and Ill get a replacement lined up for you.
I run there 7" light on my SE and am very pleased with the light and great customer service of cyclops. Thanks again.
Dude your blood is worth bottling Yeah I was gutted when I discovered it had gone its own way. We are heading away on our RTW trip but I am sure we can get them sent ahead of us. Many thanks that is better than awesome
I"ll get the next round going asap and Pm you for a shipping address when they are ready. Have a great trip. I"m envious to say the least.
Yeah... Cyclops is a great guy and a good member of ADV. The Fuel Tank Guards have proven to be very useful on my bike. The gel coat has chipped off where the impacts have happened but that's cool, it just adds character. Q~
Cyclops is the best ! great products , great service . . .I wonder if there is also a way to safety wire it like we used to do in the old days , maybe a small hole with a wire to somewhere to catch it incase the gas resistant adhesive fails , that plastic tank is pretty permeable
You're just a bloody ruffian bro Looking forward to getting the leftie and the right adhesive too, might look at a wire as well j u s t in case.
